ECE, 🇨🇦n. E Torontonianan Part of “Fringe” that hates sewage in Toronto’s harbour, crappy air, supports a vital d/t and Lake Ontario recreation. ALSO highspeed rail fan!. Clean air enthusiast. Maker, mender, Wide pant leg defender. PS HATE PIPELINES

Just in Quebec City & thinking how EXTRA ridiculous these vehicles are in that context of old town & d/t. Even in Kingston, ON's d/t it's absurd to see one of these next to a quaint old limestone building. They take up 1.5-2 street parking spaces too &AFAIK pay no more than cars. Impossible in lots!

There is no way these bloated ass trucks can see children or pets, let alone adults, it’s disgusting

Some progress. Wonder if more people will complain N95s need to be fit tested or else presumed useless-as someone already suggested when I posted about N95s in wildfire context recently! 🤦‍♀️ People-it’s an imperfect world. OC try to get good seal! But N95 even worn imperfectly = breathing LESS PM2.5!

My IRL friends call me Chris@christyceeck.bsky.social · yesterday

"The province says N95 masks are now available for free in communities in the B.C. Interior to protect people from the impacts of wildfire smoke. It says residents are encouraged to check with their local governments for more information on clean-air locations in their communities."

👇🏻 imagine if the people in charge of the things we elect them for, actually focussed on THOSE things, those responsibilities, instead of leaving a legacy of heavily greased palms and a personal vendetta against a city that wouldn’t elect you.

I don’t even live in Toronto and I’m annoyed by this. What a waste of taxpayer money. Build it. Tear it out. Lawyers. Judges. REPEAT. How about we elect municipal councils to do municipal stuff and provincial governments to do provincial stuff. So crazy it just might work. #onpoli

Me too. Partner’s work @ Yonge/Bloor used to mean I was in fear every commute that our children would lose a parent to a driver’s bad decision, sudden onset health issue or distraction. Those lanes so needed& such a boon &don’t understand how bad guys nonsensically win over &over. Tiresome vendetta!

I'd be interested in hearing people's opinions on how it was possible for the appeal court to completely ignore the constitutional claim that cyclists (taxpayers & citizens, yes?) could be killed or injured because it's not safe to cycle on the road if bike lanes are removed.

How bout using airborne mitigations to quit rebreathing air infected with horrible vascular, organ & immune system damaging, oncogenic diseases, like covid 19, that WHO should have suppressed better by being honest about its airborne nature from start? Seems wise. Maybe add that to the list WHO.

What are you doing today to take care of yourself and your health and well-being? These could be small habits. Or big changes. Every action you take to protect your health matters.

Get moving, rest, enjoy sun safely, quit smoking, time to stretch, be kind to your mind, eat your veggies, reach out for support, drink less or not at all.
