The last 3 platforms that I've joined have been outed for using Gen-AI in some sort of way. (BlueSky, MyOshi, Velora) I'm fucking tired at this point. People want to have alternatives to big platforms that have turned out terrible, but being just as terrible as them doesn't make a difference.

I honestly don't know how to feel about the Velora situation. I'm not going to shame or make fun of what someone is going through, but using Gen-AI to cope doesn't help. Gen-AI should not be a replacement or an alternative when it comes to mourning someone you lost, or you'll never get to meet.

When I tell you how much I love this headset, I love it. I forgot that I can turn them into a wired headset after I've been using them for a couple of hours via Bluetooth. I honestly would love it if I had, like, a mouse and a keyboard that were like the same way, if those exist.

If you claim your platform is against racism/bigotry but use GenAI for your platform (and yourself), you're lying. GenAI Data centers are mostly in predominantly Black neighborhoods, & they are affecting the environments there in a bad way. Supporting GenAI means supporting environmental racism.
