I'm realizing that I was allowed to be a free range retiree from the age of 5 until I got a real job at 16.
I used to drop like $5 a week or so into summer break and be set until vacation time and then it was flea markets and other oddly fun things.
You know what I don't see from my youth anymore... Big ol blind grab bags at thrift stores. They used to put like 10 - 20 random paperbacks, magazines or comics in a paper bag, staple it shut and write $1 and the genre.
I'm going to make something from my childhood to see if it still slaps... My mom's tuna fish. It's tuna, mayo, s&p and sweet relish. Just mix and refrigerate for at least an hour. We have squishy white bread so it's on.
