As a software developer, often given maintenance tasks, I found it useful to be able to picture in my mind what the original coder was trying to achieve, to help me fix it. I quit when my company started using automated code generation, because I can't/won't think like an AI.

Maybe I'm being dumb here, but... ... why are all these AI companies training their models to hack into other companies and steal their data? Follow-up question: why is it so hard to NOT connect a computer to the outside world?

One shelf of unread. No new books may be purchased until there is room for them on the shelf. A shelf and a half of books purchased in defiance of the first rule. Then alphabetically by author, within subsets of how close I am to being able to give them to a charity shop.
