Has anyone done the sums on how much it cost for National’s caucus to fly last minute to Wellington for this morning’s circus?

As an advocate for amalgamation, I get the politics of why Kapiti’s councillors are likely to go for the option of trying to go it alone as a unitary authority. It’s the wrong choice for our community’s long-term success given our interdependence with Wellington, but it’ll go down well with voters.
