So sad to just hear about the passing of Nikki Wyrd. Fondest memories are of swimming with her and others in the lake next to Cae Mabon, at the foot of Snowdon, during an occult retreat where she spoke about Baphomet. Sad to have not seen her recently, and to never see her again.

Was trying to think of how I got into Reich. Probably via Burroughs. The Reichian hinting of the 'orgasmatron' in Woody Allen's film Sleeper was probably invisible to me until later. Anyway, this reminded me of my fancy dress for the party at the end of the first term of my film & drama degree.

Excited by my old mate Dan Lowe kicking off a Substack of his thinking on Reich. We met over 30 years ago when we were both diving into Reich. I still see the Reich-influenced therapist Dan recommended. But Reich has faded in my reading. Time for a return. pulsation1.substack.com

There's a YouTube reaction to a video from an old act the presenter's never encountered before - verbally introduced as 'a group' called 'MC 900, featuring Jesus'.

Listening to a McKenna lecture on alchemy, was amused by his mention of John Dee's wife, Anne. Her married name struck me as funnily masculine-sounding. Well, turns out 'Andy' only arose in the 1920s. And McKenna's wrong, her name was Jane. Ah well, seems there's someone else to realise the joke.

Bill Oddie, what a lovely bloke. He wrote us a letter when we started making The Young Ones, wishing us the very best, and warning us against interference from higher up. He didn’t know anyone in the cast personally. It just came out of the blue. Lovely thing to do.

While living in Walthamstow for a few years, over 20 years ago, I had my only adult revival of a childhood 'fish & chips on Friday' thing. It was thanks to a great little shop really close by. Amazed last night, after some Walthamstow drinking, to see some recent Banksy graffiti on the chippie.
