Not to soap box about this but i feel that ppl in the english indie comics space should hear it: creating doujinshi/self published comics without the stamp of a prestigious fair or an indie publisher does not make you any less of a comic artist. drawing comics makes you a comic artist.
u cannot plagiarize a concept of a digital comic fair that's insane
Duke Stephens@oliveoilcorp.bsky.social · 2y agoThe main reason I don't think I'll do it again is because of an update we received leading up to the fair, which seems to discourage people from starting/participating in similar digital fair formats, and I didn't really like that. Just my two cents! YMMV, other folks might feel differently.

It's not enough to be against AI, you need to be pro art. You need to be a champion of the art you love, you need to share that passion and joy, and do what you can to support the artists who make it, because it's not enough to hate AI, to hate what it's doing to art and media; you gotta love.
