What is helping to understand the game better: instead of static analyzers or debug assisted playthrough, I'm also building tools that builds a graph-like to understand the cyclic complexity of each algorithm and the interactions between them.

SimCity (SNES) structurally is very simple, but at the same time is expandable. With more power (e.g. SA-1), nothing avoids you from having bigger maps, more buildings, advanced visualizations and of course faster simulation speed. I'm very excited with what I found so far!

SimCity has 3 different threads and it's so interesting how they interact with each other. The V-Blank (yes, screen blanking/refresher) is the main coordinator. It decides which main thread will run (think of a simple scheduler) and later does the main animations.

In other news, my LG C1 TV is gone after about 4 years =( The panel has short circuit and turning it on makes the TV to flicker to about 3-4 seconds and *bam*. LG support basically told me to buy a new panel (90% price of a new TV) and there's no courtesy for me. Too bad.

Sharing some news here. On June 25th I got PRK eye surgery... Been 20 days already, hurts a lot but I'm happy with the initial results so far... The craziest part is that it was completely unplanned. Originally, I just went in for a routine check-up... (+)

Here's a fun project that I never shared on here. It's my weirdly modded SNES cartridge copy of Gradius 3. I'll highlight cool people along the way. For quick context, Gradius 3 had a lot of slowdown on the SNES. If you've played it, you know what I'm talking about. #homebrew #snes #modding

If you see someone trying to modify a game without any reference - don't be afraid to help them. Everyone knows that editing games are complex. SNES games has compression; Its own formats. But people, specially motivated ones, can do anything that you can imagine. Help them!

Did you know that the SNES sound system supports surround sound? However, the current surround tech in our TVs and even on emulators doesn't produce the intended sound. This includes for both hand-made surround or tech like Dolby Surround (e.g. Samurai Showdown). Sounds a lot of potential.

How is SMW hacking going recently? Gave a look on SMW Central and saw that the community continues to be active as ever. I wonder if there's any tool or ASM that the community is look for.

Every day is a new opportunity for growth. For new projects. For continuation. Time can pass, but what you've learned stays. I'm back, everyone, and I hope you all look forward for what will be coming in the future. The future will be great.

Hey, everyone. It's been a while since I shared news here. Apologies, it's quite challenging maintaining multiple social medias while having so many real life duties. How are you been all? Any interesting news in the last 1-2 years? I promise to be more active here from now!

I finally got a new PC! A laptop as always. I have great expectations for this new hardware. By the way It's the first time I'm using Windows 11, any hints for someone that is been using Windows 10?

Hello everyone! Happy New Year!!! 🎉✨ I hope you’re all having an amazing time this week. I’m really excited about 2025! 2024 flew by so quickly. While I had a lot of personal challenges to deal, 2024 was really important year for myself. A lot of things that were... (+)
