I've done a cursory look at some of the assistant submissions, fascinating to see that people mostly rely on screentones for backgrounds I've yet to see (again, didn't look closely tho) anyone rely on hatching like I tend to

it's shit how much your posture changes your art the difference between stuff I drew hunched on my elbows because my ass hurt vs sitting up properly is embarrassing
watching illustrators who are already miles above me grind croquis and art studies made me realize I was never built for that life
But Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't have gun toting infants so obviously your story is better
Ashe's story is actually inspired by Cyberpunk 2077, so seeing the latest Edgerunner character be a black-haired boy makes me proud as if I contributed something

I know why they do it but man when I pick up an american comic based on the cover but the inside art style is completely different, it still throws me off badly
reading mob psycho manga and ONE's raw expressions are something else def makes me reflect and recommit. sometimes I get too focused on 'drawing characters well' rather than 'expressing fun' (especially after illustration work)
been using the movinkpad for a while bc of my buttcheek pain. but even after adjusting, my workflow is noticeably slower used to get 4 pages a day on PC, now 2-3 on tablet the little delays and extra steps add up
moana's ost is really good for making me draw fast
I got like 5 hemorrhoids myself, hoping to get atleast 7 by the end of the year!
not bragging but my oneshot got accepted first try with minimal editing notes, so hearing how many people get rejected or told to rework completely is surprising wonder if writing episodic stories (new plot every chapter) trained me without realizing it
comic artists who have their character sheet stuff printed out in their workspace is on to something
been using movinkpad for the past few weeks. overall I like it but: color isn’t accurate (pic: comparing to my color-calibrated large monitor) some CSP brushes don’t work the same. I still cant get my main lineart pens to draw the same way as on my xppen
