34 years ago exactly. The 2nd and 3rd of October 1992. ELP at the Royal Albert Hall. I was at both nights (Friday & Saturday) and they were glorious. Seems like yesterday! This is the 2021 edition from the Out of this World boxset.

When I first had this on LP circa 1986 it was all about the epic title track for me. Forty years later I find side two so much more appealing than I did back then. “Marmalade, I like marmalade…”
40th anniversary edition with bonus tracks plus dvd etc.
Listening to a lot of Rog lately. Awaiting the new LP coming my way in a month’s time.
I believe we carry around our younger selves, thank you, therapy. Anyway, last night was for young Pete, the nervous & anxious teenager. He's in my heart and soul, and he is safe. When Roger walked on to the strains of "Hoppípolla", the tears fell, & the scene was set. An extraordinary evening.
I believe this chap is performing a pop concert in the capital this evening.
Well what can one say! Black Moon had been a pretty decent comeback and then this landed. Best moment: probably Greg’s song Daddy, even though the subject matter is such a tragic one. A real shame but the glory days were long gone even though they soldiered on for another 4 years after this.
Well, unless he changes his mind this is the big fella’s final offering. Released 6 years ago.

Seems like yesterday that I was catching the 89 bus from Welling to Lewisham and buying the LP from HMV the week it was released. This is from the 2015 pairing with the follow up Manoeuvres.
No expert on the H years but what I do know I like.
You can’t really go wrong with Winwood/Traffic. Dream Gerrard is a particular favourite.
Here’s whispering Bob Harris talking to Queen about solo albums in 1977 🎙️
