It occurs to me that the arrogant assholes who promote the “law of the jungle” view of international relations (might makes right, to the victor go the spoils, etc.) would not last an hour in a real jungle.
Modern China is not communist. Like Russia, it’s an authoritarian single party state that operates a tightly controlled capitalist system. Many people get rich if they are friends of the ruling party - that isn’t communism. There has never been a true communist state in the world.

I think his manic insecurity is because he was counting on Musk (and others?) rigging the election like he did in 2024 by making “adjustments” to votes in crucial states, and he’s now being told that vulnerable states may have tightened things up and it might not work this time. As a result, PANIC!
