Professor Emerita UofC Fighting for the Common Good Embarrassed Albertan. Proud Canadian. #ForeverCanadian

Dozens of gas-burning power plants are being built across the country, solely to power data centers. These plants could emit as much planet-warming pollution as half of all passenger vehicles in the entire country in a single YEAR. We need a data center moratorium — now.

Ridiculous. Pretty obvious examples that we provided for Minister Loewen's conflicts of interest in making many of his decisions and trips which overtly favour guide-outfitters and trappers, yet the Ethics Commish refuses to look into it. www.albertawilderness.ca/news-release...

The only thing you should need to prove citizenship is a birth certificate or a Canadian passport. So either the UCP lied to us (which would be no surprise) or this is the consequence of allowing privatized registries (and DON'T let them keep your documents!) to vet citizenship. #ableg #abpoli

UCP's plan to put citizenship markers on driver's licenses is an absolute disaster: 1) many seniors don't have a passport/birth certificate easily accessible 2) people are unable to renew their driver's license, risking their employment 3) ID changes put healthcare at risk too #ableg #abpoli

Not a surprise, is Alberta next? Is there a challenge here? "The judge gave the province six months to amend the legislation so it is in line with the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. If the government does not act during that time, the old laws will essentially expire and no longer be in effect."

Luigi Mangione is demanding that his murder trial be broadcast live. He also asked the court to provide a live overflow feed inside the courthouse so journalists and members of the public who can’t get a seat can still follow the proceedings.

In October Albertans will have to prove that most of us are Canadians-my hope is that we pass with flying colors But we will also have to prove that we are not racist, apartheid mother f*ckers Smith might decide to ignore referendum outcome but the actual results will speak volumes about us #ableg
