His daughter went to renew his Alberta ID. She brought his 1953 Canadian citizenship certificate, issued the year he arrived here as a child. She was told it wasn't good enough. Only passports or birth certificates would do.

A data center was just shut down in Wisconsin after the town council refused to have private talks with the developer and told them everything would include public approval That’s how it’s done, folks

Not a surprise, is Alberta next? Is there a challenge here? "The judge gave the province six months to amend the legislation so it is in line with the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. If the government does not act during that time, the old laws will essentially expire and no longer be in effect."
