PSA for people in the US: On January 1, no more residential heat pumps may be sold that use R410-A refrigerant. So some contractors may be out of stock and have higher prices OR you may find an installer who is overstocked and will give you an incredible deal. Call around for multiple quotes!

Looks like Daikin/Goodman/Amana is still on track to get their Residential AC/Heat Pumps switched over to the lower GWP R32 by the Jan 1 deadline. Only one model/line looks like it will be far behind schedule.

I always thought that industry had limited electrification potential. How wrong I was: Once we looked into it in more detail we found that the potential for industrial electrification is huge. 90% of industrial process heat could be electrified in Europe by 2035.
