I now fervently believe this. Relatedly, I think celebrating good news and embracing joy are equally radical. You have to remember what you’re fighting for. We cannot sustainably organize around sorrow.

There's a broken cuneiform tablet from the Old Babylonian period, nearly 4,000 years ago, which preserves a tiny portion of a dialogue between two friends. It feels a bit like the conversations I've been having for the past week, so I wanted to share it.

Such a fun and smart piece! Ralph Fiennes is so good in The Bone Temple, carrying the moments of pure joy and fun in the film, along with a hopeful vision of humanity that made me cry. And yeah: much love for McAdams for Send Help, too!
