A quick demo of what some guestbook/postcard entries might look like (Hopefully they're not all in Latin for the real thing!) Now with country-specific post marks, date, and a possible shoe print from when it got dropped on the floor. #CSS

Do I know anyone well versed in lizards on here? especially the Moorish Gecko? I have some concerns over one lil lizzy pal spotted yesterday while I was taking some photos 🦎, and would like to do some learning - Please feel free to message here or DM.

I'm torn (heh) between the SVG, or good ol' raster image route, for a torn paper effect on my heading blocks. Raster has the benefit that it'll cache, so maybe 2-4 different images would be enough to get a nice effect. SVG would scale and stretch good, but needs plenty of points to look good. 🤔

I've been playing around with 11ty addTransform a bit: www.11ty.dev/docs/transfo... It's worked great so I can keep writing in markdown, ## Section Title, optional description and turn it into <header class>  <h2 class><a href>Section Title</a></h2>  <p>optional description</p> </header> 🤩

Cropped screenshot from my WIP website showing a section heading on the page in the style of some black paper stuck down with tape on the corners; this specific heading reads "About" with a tiny description "Who am I and how do I work?"

I am once again folding and scrunching up paper so I can get that quality, handcrafted, farm-to-table fresh paper crease texture experience. One of them might become a treasure map 🤫

Two pieces of A4 paper on top of a grey cutting mat; One piece of paper has been folded neatly into 4 equal rectangles, and opened again, the other had been scrunched up as though ready for the trash, but is also opened flat again. So now I can take a photo of each, and turn it into a reusable paper crease texture.

RE: https://mastodon.me.uk/@Floppy/116940067151749214 This is actually happening; we're building a community to execute a bigotry-free #Rails fork (29 people and increasing at time of writing). Come join us, we need your help and expertise. https://matrix.to/#/#amiko:matrix.org

I am ashamed of the fact that I’m stuck on #Rails because of the sunk costs of what I’ve already built, as are *so many* other project like Mastodon. We cannot “just move”, the cost is enormous. The Rails core team seem utterly compromised and under his spell. Nobody will speak out. We need a […]

Anyone used an Android device which has "macro"-photography as one of its main features? That's probably the one and only feature I'll care most about in a new phone as its a great aid in taking nature observations ☺️ Will be coming from an iPhone 14 Pro.

We recently trimmed back a bush along our driveway and left all the cuttings where it fell in the neighbors field. Growing up in a town, it felt wrong to just leave it? But today I saw/heard the absolute joy in 20+ sheep as they came running, jumping, and baa-baa'ing for their fresh snack 🌱🐑

Whoever came up with this connector for the wifi antenna wires is not a nice person. Laptop screen hinge repaired 👍️ Wifi card short an antenna due to broken connector 👎️

Close up shot of the Wifi card within a laptop, showing one grey antenna wire connected to the card, with another, black antenna wire held nearby the place it's supposed to connect but the little circle friction fit thing has broken off.

I've hardly been on socials the past week and a bit. Only posted a couple of pics, and hardly ever opened it up to scroll with whatever downtime I might have through the day. I've not missed it, I might even say I've felt good, not being on it so much 🤔 Maybe I should keep this up.
