We've already lost so many talented educators, and most of those still here are struggling to some degree. If you value what they do, especially any smaller creators/educators, reach out to them in some way and let them know. It'll mean more to them than you might imagine.

Amazing the things people will chuck out on the curb when all they really need is a year or two of occasionally thinking “I gotta fix up that stupid thing I dragged in off the curb someday” and a few hours of work.

I regret I have but one heart to give this take 💜 My thing with LLMs is: all of their environmental, legal, and epistemological issues could disappear overnight, and the tech is still going to be used as a cudgel to smash worker power, and to disenfranchise folks already struggling to get ahead.

I crest the hill clad in my ceremonial garb — a Carhartt over a paint-stained black pullover sweatshirt — and, with screwdriver in hand, bellow the traditional song passed down through generations of greater-Boston townie: “CA-AAR’S FU-UUCKED.”

If they wanted to make Cyberpunk: Edgerunners S01 infinitely more relatable, all they had to do was have David occasionally mutter “things should quiet down a little next week, and then I can take a break” during the last few episodes.

The Venn diagram of “people that think one must ‘get on board with AI or get left behind’” and “credulous dorks that think a flying Tesla could ever happen” looking like the moon that they’ll definitely be able to stamp their little feet and demand their cars drop them off at someday.
