Not to be insanely negative on OPs quotes (cuz Ness is a gem and is just sharing information,) but I AM SO SICK OF THIS SHIT. Everyone i know is SICK OF THIS SHIT TOO. No one wants blind boxes. No one wants chase figures. No one wants to enter a raffle for the privilege of buying merch.

Here is another: CRITIQUE and CRITICISM are not the same thing. Ignore criticism: those people want something catered to themselves. They ignore your vision. Critique is considering all the sides of your work. Everything. It’s okay not to want critique. But don’t confuse it with criticism.

Personally, I would take that as a compliment. Ppl hate the popularity of the Hellaverse w/o examining WHY its popular. It is unapologetic. It refuses to back down despite so many people viewing it as 'cringe'. And that speaks to people.

What Rowling is doing is something transphobes do all the time. Offering “words of support and reconciliation” to trans people, where the jist is “I don’t think you should have any rights and your gender isn’t real, but I don’t think you should be imprisoned or shot just for being trans.”

I honestly think Octavia would refuse the sympathy of people who hate her dad, because it's not their opinion to make on her behalf. They very obviously don't understand her decision to cut ties with him and just use her as a means to an end.
