It's the advent of CVEs these days. Can't wait to see what's in store for Christmas!
This is a _fantastic_ read, the comparison with the open web makes it soooo clear. And you’ve got some great punchlines in it, it’s well worth reading it til the end
i wrote about atproto and why it matters
That’s what we do at @jitter.video! We have some physics based easings that can be exported as css thanks to linear, it’s pretty neat
We ran a randomized controlled trial to see how much AI coding tools speed up experienced open-source developers. The results surprised us: Developers thought they were 20% faster with AI tools, but they were actually 19% slower when they had access to AI than when they didn't.
That spiraling effect is 🧑🍳💋 I’m always genuinely amazed by how you can craft creative animations from basic motion primitives in Jitter.
New this week: Blur templates 🌁 Blur is one of our most popular effects, and now it’s got its own set of free templates. Use them to guide focus, smooth transitions, and add depth to your animations. Perfect for social media, product demos, and immersive storytelling 👉 jitter.video/templates/new/

If you have a keen eye, you may notice a hidden teaser in the video cover 🙈
New this week: Bezier handles for curved paths 🎛️ Jitter now lets you sculpt motion paths with more precision than ever — smooth curves, sharp turns, and everything in-between. Read more about this and everything else we’re releasing this week 👉 jitter.video/changelog
After 5 years in the making, I'm very happy to finally release Anime.js v4, my dream animation library: 🧩 New modular API ⚡️ Highly performant 🖱️ Scroll-linked animations 🫵 Draggables ↔️ Responsive ✨ Additive animations 🪽 WAAPI support And so much more! Check out the new website animejs.com!
Easing export to CSS is out! You can use the exported value as a CSS animation-timing-function. Whenever we can, the output is a cubic-bezier, otherwise it will use the new linear interpolation syntax.
animation-timing-function - CSS: Cascading Style Sheets | MDN
The animation-timing-function CSS property sets how an animation progresses through the duration of each cycle.

New this week: CSS easing export 📤 No more trial and error when bringing motion to your website or product — simply copy your easings as CSS and keep your animations feeling exactly as you intended. Learn more about this update and everything else we’re shipping this week 👉 jitter.video/changelog
Did you know? The "staff" in staff engineer actually comes from the wooden stick staff. Just like Gandalf, the staff engineer is a mythical being wielding his staff to make bugs disappear 🧙
