Opening this book in my local BnE and seeing my name!! Unmatched feeling. It’s an incredible honor and a delight to see NEV in this anthology along with so many wonderful stories. Thank you to all the hardworking people at @marinerbooks.bsky.social for making this possible!

I don't want to do my molecular diagnostics review so here's some Worldcon highlights while I procrastinate: 1.) Signing copies of NEV at the @clarkesworldmagazine.com table with @tiatashiro.bsky.social l and taking turns to hype each other up while we chatted with folks!
Fun fact, I watched the recording of Amal El-Mohtar's wonderful speech later because I spent the majority of it backstage in a state of senseless shock. I cannot express how immeasurably grateful I am to the SFF community for this honor. NEV would call you Those Kind Readers. Thank you all.
The 2026 Hugo Award for Best Novelette goes to “Never Eaten Vegetables” by H.H. Pak (Clarkesworld, Issue 220).
So many things to say now that I'm home and transitioning from Worldcon overwhelmed to normal med school overwhelmed. As soon as I'm not trying to somehow watch two lectures at the same time, I'll write out my feelings here.
This is super exciting! Thank you so very much for having me onboard, it’s an honor to be featured amongst such prestigious works!
I'm excited to share that The Best Science Fiction of the Year: 2025 anthology will be published by Wyrm Publishing in November. Full details on my blog: neil-clarke.com/next-install...
This is a beautiful way to honor her, thank you for writing this!
Seems a good time to repost my homage to a great woman. adoctorofmanythings.wpcomstaging.com/2020/03/21/j...
Btw I based the taco stand from “When You Give a Dokkaebi Taco Tuesday” off of Angel’s Tijuana, which serves the best tacos in all of L.A. and definitely the best I’ve ever had. The best in OC is Tacos Los Cholos (rec for Worldcon folks).
Hiya folks! Here's my Worldcon schedule! I'm taking time off from med school to nerd out with y'all. Hope some of you can stop by! I'll repost this closer to the day of.
One more day to vote! Thank you so much to everyone who has been discussing “Never Eaten Vegetables,” it really is an honor to have my work so widely read. I hope to meet some of you at Worldcon!
Don’t forget to cast your vote for the 2026 Hugo Awards! Did you know that voting on the entire Hugo Awards ballot is NOT required? Do you know films and video games, but not novels? Do you love art and graphic stories, but haven't read the novellas?
Hiya folks! Do you like monsters, myths, and tacos? Check out my new @clarkesworldmagazine.com story about a dokkaebi navigating Los Angeles (and a very naughty goose). clarkesworldmagazine.com/pak_08_26/

Thank you so much for the shoutout Tia, this entire thread is absolutely delightful!
Fellow Wyrmhole editor @hhpak.bsky.social's "Never Eaten Vegetables" has been living in my head rent-free literally since I linked it last year, and it's STILL an excellent and beautiful novelette. Absolutely worth reading--consider them for Astounding nomination! clarkesworldmagazine.com/pak_01_25/
I’d greatly appreciate if people could consider voting for either of my two novelettes, Never Eaten Vegetables or Crabs Don’t Scream! I’m so honored to see both stories made it to the finals!
Our readers' poll finalists were announced in the February issue. clarkesworldmagazine.com/clarke_02_26/ Check out some great stories and art and vote for your favorite by February 15th! (Directions and links to all the works are in that editorial.)
Here's my 2025 Wrap Up! I pushed two novelettes and one short story out into the light of day, as well as a swanky robot essay for Wyrmhole, (plus oodles of indulgent fanfiction which will NOT see the light of day). Here's a debrief of all that my brain wrought this past year:

Thank you to @locusmag.bsky.social for the shoutout and the review @acwise.bsky.social! The appreciation for NEV means so much, and it’s especially such a pleasure to be featured alongside @somtoihezue.bsky.social’s incredible novelette!
Scurrying in excitedly to share that my novelette “We Begin Where Infinity Ends” published in @clarkesworldmagazine.com, was loved by the wonderful people at @locusmag.bsky.social, alongside @hhpak.bsky.social’s lovely story. So grateful to @acwise.bsky.social for their kind review of these stories✨
This is how I think punctuation marks would react to you misusing them: Period: "You absolute donkey. Get out of here." Semicolon: "How DARE you! Never touch me again!" Colon: "Come on man, not cool." Comma: "I really wish you wouldn't, but I get it." Em Dash: "Anything you want baby, abuse me."
I was not immune to this hype and I’m ever so glad I jumped onboard, what a marvelous read it still haunts me
It didn’t happen to me, but I got to watch The Last Good Thing to Happen on Twitter unfold for @amalelmohtar.com & @maxgladstone.bsky.social back in 2023 amalelmohtar.com/letter-of-ne...
