Look out, honey! (Because I am using technology)

Okay, I am going to tell a little story. It's one I have saved for the last couple years, almost nobody knows about it. But it lives in my heart. I don't know how others will feel about it, maybe something, maybe nothing. It's about the Uncanny X-Men. 1/

I watched the fantastic four movie. It's not a bad movie. It's not a good movie. I really liked some things. I really disliked some things. The cousin guy from the beef show is really good in it even though you hardly see him. Natasha Lyonne is in it.

My 20 y.o. was overheard on the phone asking his friend if they have a knife, then told us he was going out and wouldn't be back until late. When asked what was up with the knife talk, he said they were going to look for sticks and then go whittling. 🫨

There are people in a gen x sub on reddit acting like the Cure were not huge in the 80s, that only "weirdos" listened to them. They had top 40 hits. They were playing arenas in the US as far back as 1987.

I was looking up lyrics to Steely Dan's "Only A Fool Would Say That." I see all sorts of things saying it's a response to John Lennon's "Imagine." Fine. I can see that, but people are citing a line about a "Stetson white hat" as definitive proof, like Lennon was known for that. Is that gaslighting?

The Pitt is not my kind of show, broadly speaking. I do not like medical dramas. I do not like workplace soap operas. I started watching because I heard it described as "competence porn." It's that, but it's also "empathy porn." I love seeing people care about other people.
