hey guys i think it’s been a while since we discussed how downright pornographic and sickeningly intimate the needle spot from all out 2024 was, so i’m bringing it up again.

Hangman sticking a needle through Swerve’s cheek. If i said “close your eyes and imagine of a type of torture that is also so strangely tender and intimate,” this is what you would picture. Swerve’s head is resting against Hangman’s stomach and his eyes are glassy and half-closed as Hangman works the needle into his mouth while holding the other side of Swerve’s face. Actually I don’t think this is exactly what you pictured because this is the sort of thing that just explodes into being and can’t be thought of beforehand.Hangman sticking a needle through Swerve’s cheek. 0 days since saying "I'm not personally into the stories being told in the show right now" wasn't immediately met with "you aren't a real wrestling fan" and I wish we could move past this as a community so we weren't pushing people out for simply not gelling with current storylines.

my coworker/friend has a friend at school who loves wrestling and reagan was telling her about me, “i said you’re obsessed with hangman and she said ‘OOH! she knows ball!’” then she yapped to reagan about hangman for 15 minutes straight. 😭 reagan was like “dude you NEED to meet erin i’m so serious”

about to turn a 20 minute drive home into a 45 minute drive home because i am so scared and paranoid about hitting another deer. chris: don’t worry, traumatic things only tend to happen to you once, it’s not like you’re a magnet for them or anything 😏 me: girl, shut up.

my coworkers and i have decided that the italian restaurant where we work is on 48-hour Dolly Parton lockdown. Dolly ONLY playing in the dining room for this weekend!

one of my core memories is being 5 years old and my mom telling me i wasn’t allowed to watch It (1990). of course i knew better than my mom because hello, i was 5 🙄. so i watched It (1990) and that was the first time i remember feeling absolute fear. i did NOT watch it again until i was in my 20s.

We’re going to hear about how everyone loved Dolly, and that feels true. But it’s good to remember, and to her credit, that she was attacked for her AIDS activism, her vaccine advocacy, her LGBTQ+ support and even, more recently, for her reading initiatives. She ALWAYS stood firm when it mattered.

When we hate on these disgusting immoral evil billionaires it’s bc just look at everything Dolly did. They could be doing that. They could just be helping people and every day they choose not to help people. They choose to harm. And when they die, we’ll dance and laugh and be thankful they’re gone.

I think that Dolly Parton was, for a lot of people, an ambassador of the "good" values people think of about the South: kindness, hospitality, can-do spirit, sharp and witty and down to earth. I think for a segment of people, too, she was theantithesis of a lot of noxious masculine country stuff.

I think the universal grieving comes in no small part from the fact she represented the best of what America could be, and that she never stopped chasing that ideal, artistically and socially

i heard the new dishwasher say something about la mota and my ears perked up. he said “¿te gusta la mota?” and i said “sí, mucho.” he started laughing and promised to bring me in a gummy the next time he works, now i’m like fuck i gotta reciprocate!
