I'm going to watch my friends daughters badminton girls singles game on Saturday morning and I'm so excited! The skill these kids have is just incredible. There's such an unbelievable amount of technical skill required to play professionally like they are, it's amazing to watch.
Studying Thai makes me realize how much I need to study Spanish so I don't lose what understanding I already have of it.

Thoroughly shocked my kids don't know what dooming is, despite all the other internet slang they know.

It's really wild how absolutely unpredictable men's singles is for badminton right now. Just a total and complete surprise every time. It's also interesting and unfortunate to see how unpredictable women's doubles would be if the world number 1s weren't in the draw.

One of my favorite things about a mask is when I'm not confident in my breath, I won't be giving somebody a bad breath attack if we speak while close to one another.

My family have recently started showing some interest in self hosting some stuff. (Local LLM, email (Not self-hosted, but just a different provider), google drive, etc) I know it's probably going to end up with me playing tech support, but it does sound fun and even maybe a little useful.
It's been a full semester and I haven't gotten sick yet. 🙏🏾 Thank you masks A part of it is luck, but also a significant part are the intentional steps I take to prevent myself from getting sick!!!

I wish Heart and Soul was a little more difficult. Like why give a gym 7 trainer a Rhyhorn. Not even a Rhydon? Not a Rypherior? An Aggron would have been a great choice too because at least it's so defensively physically bulky to things it's not weak to (not much but less than Rypherior)
This thread is an excellent example of why generative "A.i." belongs NOWHERE near history, journalism, and education. ALL THE LITTLE DETAILS MATTER. "A.i." fucks them up, CONSTANTLY. It's a bullshit generator. Ban it from your life if you have any interest at all in truth or reality.

The butterfly effect, not that it's a great movie but it was just the first time I saw a movie like that (young age) that showed how small changes impact everyday life in small, but huge ways. Because of it, I stopped worrying so much about the past and how things could be different.
