Im so closed off to the world right now that the demand to keep myself alive feels like a void that can’t even be reached for my body and mind just shares complete exhaustion , that physically doing something to achieve can’t even be done with effort. Yet , Some may say thats a good thing.

Entering a duty of care isn’t about offering a neat fix. It’s about showing up , forming a human connection that bears witness, keeps company with what’s hard, and holds the reality that needs to be held.

It took me more than 24 hours to work up the courage to send the text I had wanted to send to OT the day before. Tomorrow is the online group, and I am absolutely dreading the reaction and consequences of standing up and saying,

I don’t need to be quizzed on what skills to use , that’s useless when I’m in survival mode. If you’re neurodivergent and the reasonable part of your brain has gone offline, asking you to deploy cognitive strategies just piles on overwhelm.

Yes, I headbang when I’m overwhelmed. The best thing to do is to leave me alone so I can self-soothe, rather than keep talking to me and expecting a response. Repeating questions and responses doesn’t calm my mind, it only makes everything feel louder.
