Just reviewing some footage, and I gotta say having an action cam while suiting is REALLY useful for someone who can’t process everything that happens within the compressed weekend of a convention. Not sure if I can stitch them into a coherent narrative yet. Will figure this out.

Aurawra gave me a lot to reflect on how I want to spend future conventions. Will be phasing out my pink outfit which I’m not vibing with anymore (was mostly for Pink Dot activism). Would like to experience more beach cosplay fantasies and tone down on high energy stuff moving forward.

❄️ Japan 2026 HEWWO SNOWW @snares.bsky.social and I were headed back to our favourite onsen town for a post-JMoF bit of hot spring action. Here we are at the base of our soon-to-be climb into the mountains with our highly capable Toyota Corolla Touring.

A picture of a laced boot stepping into a mound of snow against a brick wall.A picture of a parking lot of a Japanese roadside convenience store. A tall banner just outside the parking lot indicates that it is a 7&i chain (related to 7-11). A white station wagon is the only car in the lot. Meanwhile, light traffic can be seen traversing along the main street.

It’s been a busy week just exploring Sydney and attending @aurawra.org. I really do appreciate small con vibes, and it definitely brings back that close knit vibe that I have missed. Looking forward to sharing memories of @snares.bsky.social and I’s trip together with you.

❄️ Japan 2026 I’ve been coming to Toyohashi since 2016 to head to JMoF, but this year will be the last time as the convention heads towards Nagoya. Tons of memories made here. Thanks for having us, Toyohashi. ありがとうございます。

A picture of a small plaza in the open air in the afternoon under a blue sky and with the shining brightly in the top right. The picture is focusing in on elements featuring Toyohashi City. The logo behind the name of the city looks like two triangles stacked on top of each other: one with its pointed end facing upwards and the other pointed side down.

The mascot of Toyohashi can be seen on the left of the picture, which resembles a bit of a bipedal ant.

Anyone claiming to have authority to speak to The Public about what the fandom is about may not have ulterior motives (uncertain) but they’re certainly not going to be speaking with you in mind.

We don’t need a Grand Regent of the Furries, elected, ordained or otherwise, and if someone is approaching figurehead status and they’re milking it, you should be legally permitted to punch them in the back of the neck with a cactus.

This may come as a shock to you, but the fandom does not want or need for a representative. If any one person makes any claims for the fandom as a whole to the wider world, they are not someone who is to be trusted.

❄️Japan 2026 There’s nothing better on a chilly winter’s evening than a bowl… … of cold udon. With eggs. And all the accoutrements for a hearty meal to stay nice and warm. 🍜 Marugame Seimen

A picture of a tray of food with the focus being that of a large white bowl in the centre of the frame. In the bowl is a thick udon in a slightly savoury cold broth topped with grated yam, soft boiled eggs, and plenty of sliced spring onions as a garnish. The bowl is on a black tray, and the aesthetic of the background is a strong wood theme. A close up of the previous picture showing more clearly the grated ham, which is a pale white, the soft boiled egg yolk that still has the light covering of egg white surrounding it, and the spring onion. At the edge of the bowl, the yam did into a slightly clear broth with a slight brownish tinge and showing some strands of the udon noodles underneath the toppings. A wide shot of the picture with the same bowl of udon, this time revealing additional items on the tray. The bowl is actually positioned on the right half of the tray. The left half has a small plate that holds three pieces of battered and fried sides: two of them are palm sized and rectangular in shape, while the third is long, skinny, and extends slightly off the plate. Also on the tray is a spicy cod roe topped on Japanese rice and wrapped in seaweed (onigiri).

Never more panic inducing when your mum texts you that she’s feeling breathless, extremities feeling numb, and suddenly saying she wants to get an ECG. She’s fine. Doctor at the neighbourhood clinic checked her out. But hooooooly horse that had the adrenaline going.

Something sliced into the sole of the pair of Sketchers shoes I wear for work, so I had to pick up a new pair. Based on the smoothness of that shoe sole, it was already due for replacement anyway. Horse shoes are expensive.

A picture of the bottom of a worn out shoe sole that is smooth and flat. There is a thumb sized slit in the middle of the sole as though something had slivered into it.

Dear person on social media, This is the reason why I declined. I appreciate the message you sent me, but I didn’t get much out of you from your profile. Then with this reaction and a block? Thank you for your attention, but sorry not sorry.

3. “Ok. Bye.”

❄️ Japan 2026 LOOK AT THIS TINY BABEH. ISN’T HE ADORABLE?! So many adventures with claw machines. ❤️

A picture of my left hand holding up a small toy in my fingers. The toy is of a small plush black horse tucked in a small blue and red bag-pouch with its head emerging from the top. In the background is the claw machine from where the toy horse was won from. The machine has a green base representing grass with other toy horses stacked in the background on the wall of the machine.
