👇 In reference to that SDCC Avatar Aang slide everyone is talking about. It was a page from an artbook, and the reference to Chat GPT was likely injected by the person who put the book together. Actual artists like Kat who worked on the film have no idea why it says that.

Every aspect of the animation is handcrafted by real artists and I hope that people don’t use this slide as a reason to detract from how much love and labor went into the film.

if you're feeling down about genAI please remember that it is a) intensely unpopular b) immensely unprofitable c) being propped up by people who NEED it to succeed, will spend any amount to create an illusion of a win but still keep failing and leaving the people they work with caked in shit
