It's not enough to be against AI, you need to be pro art. You need to be a champion of the art you love, you need to share that passion and joy, and do what you can to support the artists who make it, because it's not enough to hate AI, to hate what it's doing to art and media; you gotta love.

I left most of my plushies with friends and colleagues back home when I immigrated to Norway, but I made sure that I brought my Bwoopy, an adorable little friend created by @a2ziegler.bsky.social. Bwoopy reminds me to take solace in the simple things in life and live life one step at a time.
I brought Bwoopy with me from Skeiv Kafe (a LBGTQIA+ youth group I volunteer at here in Norway) for the first time. Everyone wanted him because they all loved him.

All these GenAI things have something in common—art, stories, music, video clips—they make you feel NOTHING. The only reason we’re plagued by them is the people making them are excitedly spewing them out because the process gives them a thrill. A quiet echo of what it’s like to truly create.

You did however collaborate with a talented professional to create unique work. Using Gen-AI doesn’t make you a writer or a collaborator. It means you’re growing toxic slop from stolen cuttings. Art is about connection. It requires a soul.
