do you ever draw something that makes you feel like this
It's not enough to be against AI, you need to be pro art. You need to be a champion of the art you love, you need to share that passion and joy, and do what you can to support the artists who make it, because it's not enough to hate AI, to hate what it's doing to art and media; you gotta love.

i can check "stole a post from tumblr to express my frustration thinking only 15 people would see it, only to have it accidentally go viral" off my internet bingo card now
I wouldn't have any idea of how to set this up, nor have I been using it since it came in. Nor would I have any idea of how to find a bypass that someone else wrote. Not me, no, never. *cough* gist.github.com/mary-ext/6e2... *cough*

I left most of my plushies with friends and colleagues back home when I immigrated to Norway, but I made sure that I brought my Bwoopy, an adorable little friend created by @a2ziegler.bsky.social. Bwoopy reminds me to take solace in the simple things in life and live life one step at a time.
I brought Bwoopy with me from Skeiv Kafe (a LBGTQIA+ youth group I volunteer at here in Norway) for the first time. Everyone wanted him because they all loved him.

every time someone says "MLB" i think "my little bpony" and then go wait, that's not right
All these GenAI things have something in common—art, stories, music, video clips—they make you feel NOTHING. The only reason we’re plagued by them is the people making them are excitedly spewing them out because the process gives them a thrill. A quiet echo of what it’s like to truly create.
Commissioning an artist, doesn’t make you an artist. You did however collaborate with a talented professional to create unique work. Using Gen-AI doesn’t make you a writer or a collaborator. It means you’re growing toxic slop from stolen cuttings. Art is about connection. It requires a soul.

Listen, you've never sobbed in your life the way you sob when you internalize that humanity is the means by which the universe understands itself.
something that wrinkles my brain every time I remember it is the fact that total eclipses are only possible on earth because the moon and sun appear to be the same size in our sky, due to the insanely, astronomically unlikely fluke that the moon is 400x smaller than the sun but 400x closer to us.
has it really only been 4 months since i graduated? i feel like a completely different person
