Just so we’re clear, Seattleites: Doubling the Seattle Transit Benefit District tax from 0.15% to 0.30% would only mean an extra $0.15 on every $100 you spend in the taxable district. Should we be doing things like fare enforcement first? Yes. Is the proposed increase a big deal? No.

The King County Council took the exact same vote, and is poised to adopt another 0.1% sales tax in a few days. The 0.15% proposed increase for bus service is getting a very different reaction.

I know I’m a city boy but Sound Transit seems a bit of a joke. Killing dense urban projects we voted for (Ballard) in favor of extending light rail to suburbs lmao. Until the next cost overrun from years of doing nothing happens, anyway
