#outlander ending, okay. I mean, the season was crap (imo), but Claire and Jaime are a great love story, they’re the sauce of the show and it’s what “saved” the ending for me. I did get emotional and that’s a win for the show, because it's been a while since it spoke to me
I love the visual storytelling of this show in regard to narration and POV. The first time we see Claudia in season 2 she doesn’t speak, she has no voice, only Louis reading her words. With Louis we hear his voice first, but it’s a recording of ep5! a little clue of Armand’s involvement
Spent yesterday screening the first 6 eps of #TVL. This writing team keeps its narrative so tight that, season after season, it’s a masterclass on how to fit so much into compact space. I’m in awe; I dislike too much excess/distraction. No useless digressions here; every second pulls its weight.

I'm really exited about finally being in s2 on my rewatch. The debates here are so cyclical that I feel like I've discussed s1 infinitely more than s2. The second one doesn't get talked about enough, we (or me, idk) almost never focus on it. Once I've finished it I won't shut up.

There are actually a lot of thoughts about Louis' relationship with gender and his expression that I have on hold until s3. I could gather conclusions thanks to the trailer but I want to wait for the season.
The debate about consent in Louis' turning is another case of literal thinking and refusal to engage in the allegorical reality of the story. Louis' turning is beyond consent. If we judge by own rules in the real world, how can Louis consent if he's not in his right state of mind?
I like that Louis & Maddy were both born from love, BUT I like so much that every vampire is born from trauma too. Where would Madeleine be w/o having been brutalized and almost raped that night? Where would Louis be w/o having been suicidal, they became creatures of the night bc of their trauma

I kept thinking about the people who say that Claudia is not evil while watching s2 ep2. Specifically that moment in the play when the woman keeps crying and asking for help, and Claudia is having the absolute best time of her life 😭😅
