No painting today, as myself and my family are off to Lepe Country Park. Got a picnic packed and I’m ready for some fresh sea air! Have a good day everyone. 👍

I primed and prepared the two Merlin Railguns for painting. Again, I love the little details and overall aesthetic of these miniatures. Very cool. 👍 (Minis from @warcradlestudios.bsky.social )
Not sure about the context of the cartoon, it’s not important, however I recently learned that across the pond they call Wally, Waldo!! Why change it to Waldo? What does Wally mean in the US that necessitated the change? 🤔
No words needed 🎯
Armoured Clash: Some more work in progress on this Raj Rifle Platoon officer’s base. There are lots of great little details, such as the tiny drumsticks and crossbelts on the drummer! I also tried to imitate the flag on the official art. 👍 (Minis from @warcradlestudios.bsky.social )
Future painting projects: • finish the lovely Armoured Clash miniatures. • I’ve 10 Oathmark Light Infantry to make Rangers. • I’m intending to convert & paint 20 Bolt Action US Rangers, for use with my Konflikt 47 US army. If only people would give me the time! 🤔👍

I’ve started painting the mounted Officer’s mechanical horse. I’m trying to paint NMM armour parts, but it’s so hot that I’m going to have to stop for now. I’m happy so far though. Hopefully once it cools tonight I can crack on with some more. 👍 (Minis from @warcradlestudios.bsky.social)
Carrying on from yesterday, I’ve built the Raj Rifle Platoon too. Lots of lovely details and I love the Officer’s mechanical horse! There is a second Merlin railgun to build as well, which I’ll do later on tonight and then I’m going to start to paint them too. 👍
I decided to build one of the Raj Merlin railguns, for use with Armoured Clash. What a fun looking mini and I love the steampunk aesthetic!
I got this comment left on a recent instagram post. Obviously I’ve hidden their name and I’ve removed their comment too. I post a lot on socials & I always take the time to read, reply and/or ‘like’ a comment. What would you do in this situation? #WhatAPrick
40k: Whilst my son was over painting Orks, I painted one of his Gretchin minis. Fun little guys ain’t they! 😁👍
Picked up the latest issue of Wargames Illustrated, which includes a free sprue of Warcradle Studio Indian Raj rifle platoon and Merlin Railguns. Lovely looking miniatures. Some very nice articles too! 👍
My middle son, Ben, was over today to paint his first ever 40k miniature, actually his first mini ever! I was talking him through it and was showing his the slapchop method. He’s started an insta profile to show his progress if you want to follow him: instagram.com/benmp_paints
Oathmark project: And there we are. My first box of @northstarfigs.bsky.social Oathmark minis is complete. With second edition just around the corner, now is good time to start and I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into this game. Great minis. Definitely recommended. 👍
Oathmark project: The conveyor belt is at full speed and I’ve almost finished the box of @northstarfigs.bsky.social Human Heavy Infantry. Some general highlights to do and bases to finish and then a final Matt varnish and I’ll be finished. 👍
My personal favourite method of painting miniatures, is the Slapchop method. It’s so easy to do and yields some fantastic results and once you follow it up with washes and further highlights, you’re left with a satisfying finish! 👍
Oathmark project: I added some spare shields to this Firedrake to tie it in with the House of the Raven I painted yesterday. Obviously I’m intending for my army to take a dragon!! 👍
Oathmark project: Thankfully it’s a bit cooler now, so I’m really cracking on with these @northstarfigs.bsky.social Human Heavy Infantry. I love the look of these bare headed chaps. So much character. The possible poses are cool too. 👍
Oathmark project: All the miniatures are built, based, primed and zenithal highlighted, ready for painting. I’m going to pick up the 2nd edition rulebook next month (you get a free sprue of your choice if you preorder from @northstarfigs.bsky.social!) Can’t wait to start collecting! 👍
Oathmark project: The Armies of Riverford are made up of many warrior houses, such as the House of the Raven. The Raven-kin, as they are known, form the backbone of the infantry & number many thousands of warriors, with each unit, or Rave, lead by an Officer, known as a Corvus.
Oathmark project: The Human Heavy Infantry are all built and I’ve started to base them too. I’ve decided to make 20 warriors (only 15 pictured as the others have been primed for test painting later) and 10 Linebreakers. More tomorrow. 👍
I can’t believe there are hobbyists calling this announcement a damp squib! Not every release is going to appeal to everyone, but there are certainly going to be those who can’t wait to wargame this era and they should be allowed to enjoy it. 👍
Oathmark project: The building has commenced and while I’m certainly not looking to convert many of them at all, I have made one with a horn, using parts from my spares and I’ve given him a sword in his offhand and the leader has a spare parts head and a double headed axe! 👍
Oathmark project: As a break from my Fallout project, I’ve picked up a box of these @northstarfigs.bsky.social Oathmark Infantry. I don’t have the rulebook, but from what I’ve researched, I can create my own world & lore, so I’m really looking forward to building and painting these chaps!
*longest running American sitcom. The Last of the Summer Wine still holds the world record.

‘It’s Always Sunny’ Is Only Getting Better With Time As it approaches a record-setting 17th season, we look at how a show about a bunch of Philly dirtbags became the longest-running — and possibly funniest — sitcom ever.
"He saw as through a mist a wide flat circle, paved with mighty flags, and surrounded by a crumbling battlement: and in the middle, set upon four Carven pillars, was a high seat, reached by a stair of many steps."
Fallout project: Nobody knows more about the Wasteland’s flora and fauna than Granny Murphy and Duke. Whether you need advice, a medical remedy or just some help clearing out a mole rat nest, they’re always willing to lend their aid.
Hobby question: Does anybody else paint their tufts? Or are you more organised than me and always stock a variety of different colours! 😅 #wargaming #miniatures #tufts #paintingminiatures
Fallout project: Although I have female representation within my project, I wanted some more, so I’ve made a lady & her dog to join the Vault Dwellers faction. I’ll iron out the names and backstory once I start painting. After they are done, the project will go back on hiatus.
Fallout project: “… I’m telling you, they just appeared out of thin air, grabbed Sam and then… just disappeared again! Sam used to say The Institute would send Coursers one day, but he’d been hidden amongst us for so long, I didn’t believe it. I’ll miss him…”
Update on my sons interest in Warhammer: Following yesterday’s post, in order to test the waters, he’s ordered himself an Ork paint set that includes a couple of Orks and a Snotling!! He’s a smart lad, I’d have ordered an Ork army, before discovering I hate painting green! 😅
