Thinking about Capcom On the surface it's 93% digital vs 7% physical but I don't think it suggests that players don't want physical. For starters - 55% of digital sales are PC - no physical option! Legacy titles are often out of print or sold used on the physical market

One of the biggest takeaways from testing was just how scalable Forza Horizon 6 is on PC once some of the heavier settings are tuned more intelligently. Playground has done an excellent job balancing visuals and performance across a vast range of hardware. Proud that this was my first DF video edit.

Crimson Desert on PC is a weird one technically in some respects. Doesn't behave like other big open world titles we've seen, with some odd issues here and there. But overall it's a solid performer with the right settings. Rich has all the answers:

I think this video does a good job explaining the viewpoints of the team but I wanted to make sure it was clear that I wasn't feeling up to participate yet thus not in the video. I will share my own thoughts soon but my opinions largely mirror what Alex says in this video! Check it out...

Ok, they’ve done. The Pulsar lineup of monitors have been updated and a new ULMB mode has been added with variable pulse width. This is the first LCD I’ve ever loved now. The motion clarity at 60hz is CRT perfect. It’s incredible. Now it’s great for modern and retro games alike. A game changer.
100% in agreement with you there.
There are so many reasons these days where I’m feeling like this focus on generative AI might be one of the worst mistakes in recent human history. Whatever perceived value it could provide isn’t worth the damage it’s doing in so many areas.
Latest episode is out! Would be so happy if ya’ll give it a listen!
The latest episode of the DF Retro Super Show is live! 20 years on from 2006, the team look back at what was an amazing year for games - with the PS2 era still firing on all cylinders and the arrival of Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii: youtu.be/N1CgSBa4iaI

Uncharted 4 turns 10 this year, along with the PS4 Pro. Make of that what you will. Personally, I’m choosing to believe 2016 was fairly recent.
I’ve come away from my Uncharted revisit with a few takes . These games have aged beautifully . 2 has the best pacing if like any game . 3 is great but it sucks . 4 has incredible writing . Multiplayer NEEDS to come back . This style of gunplay where you pick up enemy weapons is so much better omg
This video took a while to make but it’s finally out! A lot of the capture work for Part 2 is complete as well. I’ll finish that after the holiday! Enjoy.
20 years after its launch, we unboxed an untouched Xbox 360 - and here's what we did with it next. Today, we're publishing the first part of our retrospective on every single Xbox 360 launch game. Includes a look at the original launch Blades dash! youtu.be/K8d5j22toZY

Dying Light: The Beast's unlocked FPS in the 120Hz VRR Perf mode on PS5 helps give this direct comparison vs PC. In this scene, where the PS5 renders at 1080p, an RTX 3070 using PS5 settings at 1080p is roughly 45% faster. Not a new revelation, of course, just another data point.
How do you navigate the settings menu in Battlefield 6 to make the game run and look its best for multiplayer? With @iamrayy-0.bsky.social's help, we make optimised settings to get you on your way. I also talk about bugs and BF6's unambitious graphical presentation. Enjoy! youtu.be/lY31JQ-C8lY
Battlefield 6 on PC delivers exceptional scalability -- and with fine-tuned optimised settings, there’s substantial performance gains to be had with virtually no loss in visual quality. We also look at how it compares to the graphics settings found in both modes of the PS5.

Two days late to the news, but there it is — the gold master 📀 of #DeathStranding2. We don’t see gold masters much anymore, not like we did back in the PS4 or PS3 era.
How does the new Assassin's Creed Shadows run on Low spec PC GPUs and CPUs? How is the PC user experience? Smooth or with issues? Why do cutscenes look so choppy? All that and much more in my PC review featuring optimised settings with help from @iamrayy-0.bsky.social ! youtu.be/L2Wt-AgYYus
Nixxes is handling the TLOU Part II PC port. Nice. Iron Galaxy were the ones to handle prior Naughty Dog ports including TLOU Part I, IIRC.

Man, the mid-2000s rock scene paired with PS2-era gaming was iconic to me. The energy, the soundtracks, the memories—they defined a generation. It’s an era I’ll never stop loving.
This PC animation issue in stalker 2 when using FPS caps pointed out in this post is A LOT like the pre-launch issue on Xbox Series consoles. I have loaded up the game and tried out a 30 fps cap and have also seen the issue. Upvote this post to get the devs to see it. I will write an email soon.
Any idea @dachsjaeger.bsky.social where is the problem? It looks like the console does not suffer from this problem in 30 fps mode. I wrote more details on reddit with better video showcase. Thx www.reddit.com/r/stalker/co...
It's been a while since the last DF Retro episode—this feels like the perfect occasion for a new one. Missing them a lot! :)
30 years. Incredible. Sega Saturn is, without a doubt, one of my favorite consoles of all-time. The library is packed with endless treats across every genre. It's a very special machine if you give it a proper shot and dig into the vast library (primarily the Japanese library, of course)
The GOG version (PC) of the current STALKER 2: HoC day-0 build is 160.46 GB in total. The entire game, w/ goodies such as the OST (in FLAC and MP3), digital artbook, and additional content, will fit neatly on two discs: Disc 1: 119.05 GiB (128GB BDXL) Disc 2: 41.41 GiB (50GB BD-R DL)
