Very sad to read that actor Michael Keating, who played Vila in Blake’s 7, died back in April. Of the main male cast only Stephen Pacey (Tarrant) and Brian Coucher (Travis) remain. Michael was a lovely man who was so unlike his character, and I had the honour of having a dinner with him in 1987.

I hope that one of the outcomes of the widespread waves layoffs in IT in the past couple of years is much greater unionisation, (Professionals Australia is a good choice here), because workers shouldn’t pay the heavier price of companies’ poor leadership decisions.

That political “journalists” are still pushing the narrative that Hanson and Joyce could form government shows what a bunch of amateurs they are. We have been making friends with the local Canberra birds. We feed them, and they’ve got pretty happy with us, but today we have had each of these dropped at our door, and birds is the only logical explanation. Are they trading tech for food? I’ll keep you all informed.
