A little late to the party but the Long-Tailed Shrike showed very well this morning.

Excellent morning birding in Wiltshire. Displaying Great Bustards definite highlight but many species we don't often see. Best were: 4 Grey Partridge dust bathing, dozens of Corn Buntings, Yellowhammers, Red Legged Partridges. Rounded off with Stone Curlews through the heat haze.

The rest of our day at Portland went well. Plenty of Dunlin, Sanderling and R Plover at Ferrybridge and good numbers of Little Tern busy on The Fleet. Migrants thin on the ground, singing L Whitethroat our best. Little Owl basked in the sun. Back in time to hear the Great Reed Warbler at Ham Wall

Puffin currently on the sea off Pulpit Rock, Portland Bill. Also Balearic Sheerwater feeding among fishing boats #dorsetbirding

Great day on the levels with @p-sharpe.bsky.social. Lots of Beardies from the Avalon Hide, 2 Bitterns (one of which gave great perched views near VP2. Later we had brief views of a harrier sp at Westhay which was debated all afternoon!

Excellent couple of hours in a Devon woodland this morning. At least 4 pairs of Pied Flycatcher, 2 pairs of Common Redstart, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Firecrest, 2 Cuckoos and some foraging Bank Voles.

Towan beach, Roseland this morning. At least 3 Cirl Buntings though the birds stayed low in windy conditions. Skylarks and Whitethroats everywhere. Excellent Bacon Butty At least half a dozen Red Kites over Hayle Est this afternoon. No Black Kite but I may have missed some. #cornwallbirding

Morning spent around Lizard village. The main excitement was 12 Red Kite circling over the village. Other than that singles of N Wheatear and Tree Pipit along Lloyds Lane the best. Plenty of displaying Whitethroat. #cornwallb

Peaceful early morning at Shapwick. 2 Bittern seen in flight, 2+ Bearded Tit foraging, distant Cuckoo (h), 8+ Hobby's, Great Crane. Lots of common warblers giving good views. A few 4 Spot Chasers emerging after the rain. #somersetbirding

Herriots Bridge, Chew Valley Lake this morning. Wood Sandpiper, Greenshank, Ruff, LRP. Reed Bed and hedges full of singing warblers.

Glorious morning with Wood Warblers on the Quantocks, three seen and at least 2 more heard. Also: Dartford and Willow Warblers, Red Kites, several Wheatear. Nice bonus of 4 LRP on Tealham Moor on our way home. #somersetbirding

Sunny couple of hours at Ham Wall. Reed, Sedge, Willow Warblers and House Martin all NFY. Blackcaps in every bush. Showy Cetti's. Ring N Duck, Spotshank from VP1. Kingfisher between VP1 and 2. #somersetbirding

After several failed attempts in the past we finally added Ross's Gull to our list. Gave great views on the roof of LIDL at Newlyn and in flight. Several quick walks between the harbour and LIDL paid off.

Brimstone just flew through our Somerset garden. Spring is springing!
