Many of these are the same reasons I despair at seeing my fellow educators embrace AI in the classroom - what are we even doing?

I used this one a lot when teaching middle school language arts along with other short sci-fi classics like The Veldt and All Summer in a Day. Somehow, the "futuristic" setting made the lessons they share more approachable.
