Don't look now, but the world has now installed 3TW of solar. Took 10 years to get from 100GW to 1TW. Less than 3 years to get to 2TW. Less than 2 years to get to 3TW. Analysts expect *9TW* by 2036.

BC’s Supreme Court has declared unconstitutional the part of BC’s Mental Health Act that gave complete power to a mental health facility to decide on treatment for involuntary patients. The province has 6 months to align its law to be in line with the 🇨🇦 Charter of Rights & Freedoms.

Solar power provided 14% of Britain’s electricity in July. Last year, solar provided less than 1% of Saskatchewan’s power. London, England lies at the same latitude as Kenaston, SK & most of famously cloudy, rainy England is north of that. Estevan, in southeast SK, is the sunniest place in 🇨🇦.

This decision by Saskatchewan’s veterinary regulator, to deny a temporary permit for a longstanding on-reserve spay/neuter clinic, is strange. Role of professional regulator is to protect the public from potential unprofessional behaviour of members, not to protect members from competition.

Sturgeon Lake First Nation in Saskatchewan is disappointed it has been denied a license to hold a long running spay/neuter clinic. The Saskatchewan Veterinary Medical Association said the reserve is too close to established veterinary practices.
