PC is up and running again. The Fractal North was so great to build in. My only complaint is the thumb screws were a bit fiddly. Otherwise, I think this is my cleanest build yet.

Ben is the best, and I feel so grateful for all the times he included me on the show.
Professional News: This past Friday I learned that last week's episode of The Engadget Podcast was my final one as the show's producer. @devindra.bsky.social, @cherlynn.bsky.social and I restarted the show from scratch in October 2019 and I was able to see it to episode 316, that's a great run!
So proud of my US colleagues for working to organize themselves. I wish I could join them.
Bluesky, we'd like to introduce ourselves. The staff of Static Media would like to announce that we have formed a union with @wgaeast.bsky.social. Much like Jalopnik has already unionized and been recognized, we would like to request a voluntary recognition for all the Static Media sites.
I got a sneak peak at some of the other studios Jess interviewed for her new column, and I can’t wait for everyone to read what she has cooking.

This is indeed a very thorough piece on the engineering and environmental ramifications of orbital data centers. Too many “journalists” take the word of CEOs like Musk uncritically, Igor certainly doesn’t.
Really proud of the amount of work that went into this piece, and thankful to people like @astro-kevin.com for being so generous of their time. www.engadget.com/ai/orbital-a...

Orbital AI data centers could work, but they might ruin Earth in the process
If executed at the scale, Musk's orbital data center plan could have devastating effects on the environment and the sustainability of low Earth Earth orbit.

Great reporting by @hardwareunboxed.bsky.social on the RTX 5070 Ti. NVIDIA just responded to my request. "Demand for GeForce RTX GPUs is strong, and memory supply is constrained. We continue to ship all GeForce SKUs and are working closely with our suppliers to maximize memory availability."
I think the Disney-OpenAI deal makes a lot more sense if you examine from the point of view of OpenAI's precarious financial position.
I reviewed the OnePlus 15, which feels very much like OnePlus phones of yesterday. Mostly great hardware with a camera that could be better.
OnePlus 15 review: A great phone, if photography isn't a priority
If you don't mind a slightly underbaked camera, the OnePlus 15 is tremendous, offering among the best displays, performance and battery life you can find on a phone right now.
