Beautiful morning, so an hour long easy run plus a few strides. Calves felt much better today, after being cranpy and tight on the last few slow runs (but fine when going fast).

Beautiful morning out there, much cooler than it has been lately at 6:30am. Definitely made the run feel easier ( 3x1km intervals at 4:40/km today)

Anniversary dinner: Italian style tomato and fennel mixed bean stew with olive bread, followed by honey, lemon, and chia seed yoghurt posset. Paired with a lovely bottle of Amarone. Yummmm. 19 years in the blink of an eye.

This is not our cat. He's the Tux-a-like who regularly visits our garden, making us think Tux (who is an indoor cat) has got out. He's also a complete tart, it seems 😆

Lovely morning at the Japanese Gardens with the birthday girl Rose Also went to see the Irish National Stud (not sure why, as she had the Welsh National Stud with her! 🤣)

10km Race for Life today (Mrs J did the 5km). After the HM last week decided to just run for fun and enjoy the beautiful warm weather. Managed in 56:12 which I'm really pleased with as it felt quite relaxed!

Nova Coast Half Marathon done! Boy what a challenge- wind was way stronger than forecast (they had to take down the start/finish arch because it was blowing away!) so the first half into the headwind really sapped the energy. Enjoyed it, a beautiful place to run and great support around the course.

All set for the Nova Coast Half Marathon in Prestatyn tomorrow morning. 16 weeks of training done and dusted, kit prepared, had a good carb heavy few days with lots of hydration, and ready for an early night. Everything that is in my control is sorted.
