It's (almost) the 10 year anniversary of the Access Hollywood tape. I wrote about what we should have known and are still learning for @thebulwark.com. TL; DR: It's hard to have a functioning democracy when the people have withdrawn their own consent. www.thebulwark.com/p/access-hol...

In Retrospect, the ‘Access Hollywood’ Tape Marked the End of the Gender Politics Debate

Once America decided openly talking about sexual assault was bearable, it was over.

My fondest memory of Lindsey Graham was when he mistakenly wandering into the NARAL taco breakfast before the 2017 Women's March. The look on his face was priceless. We didn't agree on much at all, but he was a good sport and we both liked those tacos.

Glyphosates poison people and drive sperm rates down. So why is Trump backing more production of them while SCOTUS shields them from damages to hundreds of thousands who got cancer? I wrote about political fallout of last week's decision for @thebulwark.com

Why has this Supreme Court ruling caused young men to distance themselves from Trump? @ilyseh.bsky.social's latest piece looks at the sperm race and how men's fertility is impacted by this momentous win for the Bayer Corporation. lnk.thebulwark.com/4xSa6XT

SCOTUS handed Monsanto a victory today and screwed a bunch of Trump supporters in the process: farmers, MAHA mom's, and young men. Trump didn't have to side with the big corporation, he chose to. These folks won't forget come November. via @thebulwark.com www.thebulwark.com/p/trump-cour...

Trump Court Deals Blow to Sperm-Obsessed MAHA Crowd

The Supreme Court’s ruling in Monsanto v. Durnell was a victory for Roundup. It could become a political loss for the president.

Few organizations in the world could take the kind of fire Media Matters has since 2023 and not only survive, but win legal victories that benefit all. For another org to use misinformation to raise funds for themselves is questionable at best and certainly not how we win against fascists.

1/ I have to correct some misinformation here. The stakes are too high. We aren’t going bankrupt. It's a totally unfounded and incendiary suggestion, especially for a news outlet to make. Also, they’re fundraising for themselves off of our bruises? Oof. Mercenary in the guise of being supportive.

Screenshot of Courier newsroom email falsely suggesting that Media Matters was going bankrupt and then using that to solicit donations for themselves.

Outside money by Dem leadership pouring into Iowa to defeat hometown hero @zachwahls.bsky.social is political malfeasance in a primary where-even if you prefer the other guy (I don't)-Zach is widely known to be a great leader. We have a whole Chamber to win. Get it together. This is why we lose.

I’m a Texan and much of my family is still there. Both Jasmine Crockett and James Talarico represent the best of our state, and I am so proud of the future pathways they offer Texans and our nation. No matter what happens today, Texas Democrats have shown the country what leadership looks like.

Trump claims Iran has been “destroyed” and “obliterated” in one day but also that the bombing is “pinpoint.” And as if regime change were not an ambitious enough objective now says the goal is peace “throughout… the world.” This kind of wild talk does not inspire confidence, to put it mildly.
