Iron Maiden Pub Quiz
@impq.bsky.social
Have a pub in your house! An Iron Maiden podcast for Iron Maiden fans… and it’s got a pub quiz in it!
Can’t believe everyone turned away after I let out a sharp burst.
We definitely should have talked about that. Same guy that did the Run For Your Lives tour artwork. It’s poo.
Spot on analysis of a baffling release - only thing I'd add is what the fuck is that cover art?
Why have you reviewed an album of Vic Reeves doing his club singer thing?
That is GREAT!! Listen to this, @danmersh.bsky.social.
...and in case this helps...
I have no idea how the podcast will sound tomorrow. I’m hammered.
I’m not saying I’m better than you. I’m simply saying I’m listening to A Matter of Life and Death and I am way better than you.
That’s fun!!
@impq.bsky.social Watching Iron Maiden. Not that one. This one. The ORIGINAL Iron Maiden. Disbanded in 1976 and some hairy Herbert said "can we have your name?". They said yes. These guys got back together few years ago, had to add "The Bolton" to their name
Cunts you are the rea-son Let the reason be cunts
Dan and I are the reason The Professor stopped writing in.
Is this episode why The Professor stopped writing in frequently? Fucking hell.
Paging @tonymakos.bsky.social! This is a brilliant Maiden moment. 32 seconds in. What is that robot voice sound and why does no one talk about it???
Agree! He’s not a Metallica bassist at all.
He’s a great bassist and Metallica are incredibly lucky to have him, but my warm take is that I don’t think he’s right for them (even though he’s been there for 20+ years). Incredible funk player, Trujillo: I couldn’t believe he then got a lifetime gig where he wouldn’t be able to show that off.
Even though The Crab is by far my least favourite member of the band, he’s a truly great bass player. He should be in a jazz band in 1954, he’s that good. Lars has remained a shit drummer. Kirk has, somehow, got worse as a guitarist.
@impq.bsky.social @kirkie.bsky.social was thinking about Metallica the other day - are they the best band to not have any truly "Great" musicians? Very good players for sure, but would any be in the top 3 picks for best metal drummer/singer/guitarist etc? Greater than the sum of its parts?
