Disbanded in 1976 and some hairy Herbert said "can we have your name?". They said yes. These guys got back together few years ago, had to add "The Bolton" to their name

Tony@tonymakos.bsky.social · last wk.He’s a great bassist and Metallica are incredibly lucky to have him, but my warm take is that I don’t think he’s right for them (even though he’s been there for 20+ years). Incredible funk player, Trujillo: I couldn’t believe he then got a lifetime gig where he wouldn’t be able to show that off.
Even though The Crab is by far my least favourite member of the band, he’s a truly great bass player. He should be in a jazz band in 1954, he’s that good. Lars has remained a shit drummer. Kirk has, somehow, got worse as a guitarist.

Very good players for sure, but would any be in the top 3 picks for best metal drummer/singer/guitarist etc? Greater than the sum of its parts?
