Nuclear engineer by day, twitch streamer & alcoholic by night. I don't recommend following me, I'm a bit odd. He/him; she/her; they/them

Current status: Mom & Dad are either hospitalized or in end of life care. The home they built to be a lasting legacy is being prepped for sale in order to cover their end of life care. And the kids are coming to terms with shit that internalized when we were younger & thought that shit was normal

I'mma add these to my own platform. Which includes uncapping the house, some form of "Cursus Honorum" for political office, the abolition of lifetime appointments, wealth tax of 50% on every dollar over some number of millions, and robust antitrust law enforcement.

My 2-point reform platform: 1. Naming your product after sci fi requires a 10-page essay with your TM application to prove that you understood the source material; 2. CEOs of >$1B market cap companies must spend one day per year in a dunk tank, where anyone in America can pay $1 to drop you.

I get that Planet Peterson has always been "hurr-durr, you're dumb", but when he just lazily reads off ChatGPT answers, I'm not going to keep watching him. Be better than trash if you want viewers.

I've just watched a call-in show of Jimmy Snow & Matt Dillahunty where they listen to theists & here's my conclusion: They're feeding stupidity by giving them a forum they've never had before. They don't counter the stupidity because they give it respectability by listening to it.

Criminal Minds *could have been* the best police procedural drama in the world, except the missed a beat with Dr Reid. Instead of using him as the whipping boy who just gets screwed over and over again so femme audience members have someone they can "nurture" or "heal", they should have leaned in.

I follow fewer people than you, and yet, my feed is wildly more active than yours. This seems like a sharpshooter fallacy. You've chosen to listen to people who have not actually committed to this platform & you use their ambivalence to determine its viability, instead of looking at the platform.

man this place is so dead. can't you feel it? log on every night and it's the same five people arguing over the same five things, forever

Friendly reminder: Don’t label despicable people with medical or physical conditions they don’t have Having a physical difference (like cleft scars) is not a character flaw. Neither is ‘bed wetting’ nor ‘mouth-breathing’ Talk about how they are despicable, don’t use some feature others can’t help
