The search for AI ROI continues. University admin gave a presentation to faculty senate on AI. They begged us to discover use cases for them. All they have is a bespoke Ai tutoring agent and hopes and dreams for improved internal operations All senate had to offer was complaints about cheating

This is the part of the opinion that was noteworthy (derogatory) to me too, re: two trends in legal thinking about AI evident here that I find odd. (1) Treating AI as something inevitable that is happening *to( us rather than something we control both literally and in scope of adoption.

I just want to highlight these two paragraphs for everyone's consideration. Apologies, but I can't grab the ALT text. In short, the judge welcomes the use of AI to prepare filings, says it's here to stay, and says that he uses AI himself, subject to "independent judgment and verification."
