The best way to get to the bottom of the McConnell question is for the governor to appoint a replacement. The GOP legislature passed a law stripping him of that power, but it goes against the state constitution. If they refuse to seat the replacement, take them to court. There’s zero downside.
Todd Blanche is the worst Attorney General nominee in my lifetime. He’s under investigation by the Bar Association. This confirmation hearing isn’t bearing that out.
Sen. DURBIN: This nation deserves an Attorney General who loves the Constitution more than he loves the President. Mr. Blanche, you have proven beyond a reasonable doubt you are not that person.
