it’s true and very distressing keeping up with external when your own internal world feels like it’s falling apart and honestly took me six years to gain this much awareness. i didn’t vote in ‘20, ‘22, or ‘24 it’s complicated, and then you’re shamed because you’re “one of those” and
one thing I looked for was how active my candidates were in the community like the following: their disability awareness, women’s reproductive care, and presence with people experiencing housing transition.
