The Navy SEAL medic whose testimony helped Eddie Gallagher walk free in his war crimes case has recently joined a neo-Nazi group. We've obtained secret documents detailing his October interview with the group. We also uncovered his racist and antisemitic X account.

Hi Bluesky! 👋🏻 Here's a short intro about me. First, the professional stuff: I'm an investigative journalist who covers hate and extremism on the far-right. I've written for Daily Beast, BuzzFeed News, @tpm.bsky.social and more. My independent publication, @informant.news, is relaunching soon!
Anyway, if you're interested in this, please send me an email at nick[at]informant[dot]news and someone will get back to you in the next few weeks. We might ask for a resume and/or links to some recent work too. Pay will depend on the scope of the work and will be negotiable.
I always have more ideas/scoops than I have the capacity to pursue myself, especially because of Long Covid. So I'm looking for reporters who know how to work the phones or get sources to talk and who can write well so we can turn ideas into full-fledged articles/investigations. This will pay too.
I'll explain more about my goals and vision for this soon. But for now I'll say one of the things I'm looking for are journalists who can collaborate with me on individual articles.
One of the things I plan to do with version 2.0 of @informant.news is to routinely work with other journalists and researchers on a freelance/contract basis. I'm currently in the process of bringing on a sort of part-time publisher to help coordinate this.
