Just bored. Occasionally writes shitty rust, nushell over python any day, likes SW and HW security. Will totally ramble about things. Opinions are my own. innocentzero.is-a.dev innocentzero.atabook.org https://kbin.earth/u/innocentzero on fediverse

i dont think switching to another frontend just to have an edit button is a solution actually

There's a point where a behavior is *so* rude it starts to veer into sociopathic/amoral territory, but isn't quite serious enough that it's technically criminal just yet, and it is my personal belief that asking someone to read something you had AI generate for you falls squarely into that range.

This talk was amazing! I'd personally tried this once with text files and zk-cli and a local LLM keeping it all in context, but that failed miserably cuz - text files are not a good interface to remember windows - potato pc = potato llm - I conflated work timelines with notes

Missed first two days of localfirstconf in person so now videos are out I’ve been catching up. This talk by @jenson.org resonates the most with me. Now is the time we should be building new and novel system interfaces www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IOL...

Can someone give me an ELI5 of how nixos modules work? I can see that it's like, effectively a function and can be called like one, but how tf does the top-level work with it and supply it the arguments? I'm confused When I say top-level, I mean pkgs.lib.nixosSystem

Wasn't there a method to fetch nixpkgs flake input from the s3 cache or whatever? Basically not going through the substituter? Remember isabel making a post about it but can't find it now :/ How does one do it again?

> rust variants are not types Sure wish they were! That'd have saved me a bunch of headaches a bunxh of times Or, you know, I'd argue even more ergonomic would be an annotation: "this function can only return these variants, and nothing else"

Can this be done via @iroh.computer and atproto? I don't exactly know how iroh works, but seeing the latest post on @lexidraw.app makes me wonder if this is doable without me handling the crypto (mostly because I don't trust myself doing it right)

Ok folks, what's the closest thing to an #email but entirely #E2EE like signal. Surely I'm not the only one thinking of it? Others would have thought of something before me right? And no, protonmail/tuta/whatever doesn't count.
