other things that have improved in my lifetime: - ozone layer. we actually fixed that, as a worldwide society - we dramatically reduced the amount of lead exposure - fuel efficiency of every type of vehicle - violent crime peaked in the 1990s and steadily declined until the pandemic

Me: Utena? That wasn't a boy.
it's easy to self-segregate yourself out of cis spaces over fears about the worst cis actors and while those risks are worth being aware of they shouldn't stop you from being in those spaces any more than they stop you from taking hormones or changing your name
