While it helps lower longer-end yields in the immediate, thus helping mortgage and other borrowing costs, it risks collateral damage and unintended consequences. Morever, the effects of this financial engineering are short dated unless followed by policy adjustments.

Obvious billion dollar idea: Tech to make documents and pictures not able to be read / analyzed by AI systems.
Kind of the mindset to scrap thinking about prior market history. Companies spent 15 years buying back billions of stock that mostly sat as pixels in people’s retirement accounts. Those same companies are now spending it on actual physical items and the money keeps getting recycled.
