Social infrastructure are the physical spaces that shape our capacity to interact, from libraries & parks to community organizations & streets. Investing in spaces that support public life is one of the most effective ways to strengthen communities from within.
A new study by IPK and Gehl Studio examines the value that public spaces have in building civic trust & social cohesion across New York. Join us this summer as we explore how social infrastructure fosters the full spectrum of social connections needed to keep communities afloat.
The IPK recently held its annual NYLON Working Group conference. The conference brought together doctoral candidates from NYC and London advancing work related to culture, politics, and technology. Students workshopped their research, provided critical feedback, and explored NYC.
