Go to that concert, see that show, attend that festival - because one day the artist you love may not be there any more. Most of the artists we've been to see lately are over 70. We jokingly say we want to see them while we - and they - still can. We never expected this!💔 RIP Glen Hansard.

There are some buildings so unique, that they can be identified by just one section; the Waldspirale in Darmstadt is one such building. Designed by the Architect/Artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser (who sadly passed away before it's completion), it is one of my favourite buildings in the city.

"Verify your age" The first telephone I can remember my folks having, had a crank handle which we used to reach the operator, who would put us through to the number we wanted. To reach us, others would also have to ring the operator and ask for our 2-digit number! Rural Ireland early 1970s!😁

It is at times like this when I really do appreciate our old house. At 10 mins to midnight it is presently 28°C outside. Our sitting room stays lovely and cool (I'm too lazy to bring the thermometer inside - but I'm guessing it's maybe 20 - 22° right now) - even when it's almost 40° outside!

Your Prime Day reminder that half of Amazon warehouse workers struggle with food & housing costs. A third have had to rely on government assistance like SNAP — which was gutted last year. If Bezos can spend $500M on a yacht, Amazon can afford to treat its workers with dignity.

I'm usually a knit-in-all-weather person! I even take my knitting on sun holidays with me (learned that way that white yarn and SFP50 don't mix!), but today I had to lay my knitting down! At 37°C in the car with the A/C on, my needles had expanded and I couldn't move my stitches over them! A first!

Used the wet bank holiday to visit the museum in Darmstadt today. I had wanted to see the #shotbyadams exhibition for a while - and it was very good. But I'm very curious if this would be successful in Ireland under this title. To be honest, Bryan with a camera was not the 1st thing came to mind!
