I ended up deciding not to exhibit at Flamecon anymore because there's so few comic artists there so it didn't seem like the right show for me. Which is fine -- not every show needs to be for me. But personally, I'd love to see a % of tables reserved for people making & selling comics!

Flamecon just sent exhibitor surveys out! obvi it's ultimately in organizers' hands, but this is a great place to note if you'd like to see the show reserve a % of tables for cartoonists/comic artists or move towards an app process like MICE's!!

1/2 I have been with Silver Sprocket since 2017. I will likely have more to say about it when I have formulated my thoughts well, but for now: I have been in conversation with many sprocket artists (not all -- there's a lot of them) and the majority of us want sprocket to survive and succeed.

I am so beyond grateful and honored to be chosen as this year's Cupcake Award Winner, this is such a dream come true!! thank you to @cakechicago, the hardworking organizers, the jury and my mentor @pidgecomics, as well as the many family, friends and artists who have supported me 💖💖

We’re very excited to announce this year’s Cupcake Award Winner: @milimonster.bsky.social! The jury had a hard time selecting just one winner out of this year’s stellar applicant pool, and want to shout out some additional honorable mentions. Thank you to our jury, and congratulations Mili! 🧁

Also, mentioning for absolutely no other motivation than informing folks... Abortion Pill Zine AND my debut graphic novel Wine Ghost Goes to Hell are both eligible to be nominated for this year's Ringo awards. Just saying this for, really, no reason at all. 👁️👁️✨
