constantly stuck between wanting to be a weird sicko freak drawing silly cringe art and trying to be at least somewhat appealing to normal people whose approval I somehow still care about for some reason
genuinely don’t like to be open about being an “artist” with people who don’t know me because they usually ask what i create, or try to talk to me about fine art and famous painters whom i know nothing about etc. i can’t simply explain that i just.. draw erotica of cartoon characters.
trying to remind myself that sometimes the art you make and the art you like are different things, and you don’t have to force one to be like the other.
